Blurb: Despite all my attempts to the contrary, this chapter ended up about half as long again to the previous one. May have to start splitting the years in half if this continues. Chapter too long for IJ to handle, so posting in two halves. Sheesh. This first part is just the holidays and September.

Chapter 2: In which Scorpius gets in Trouble, Albus tries out for Quidditch and we have Christmas dinner with the Longbottoms

Preview: Scorpius hesitated for a moment. “But... if that happens, my father will be the one who resents me,” he said, not able to bring himself to meet the Professor’s eyes.

“Well... perhaps. But like I said, you always have a choice.” Professor Longbottom sighed, and bent slightly to be on Scorpius’ eye level. “I know what its like to feel as if you can’t talk to anyone,” he said. “I know I’m not your head of house, but I do have two children of my own, and... well. I hope you’ll consider coming to me if you feel like you need a chat, or have questions, about schoolwork, or... anything else.”

Blurb: due to a lack of gaming activity, I have been forced to start writing longfic again (gasp). The first 1000 words of this have been sitting on my computer for about two years, but I suddenly felt the urge to continue it and have churned out 10K in two days. Yeah, madness, and the day's not even over yet! I was going to just do a little intro and skip straight to 6th year, but I'm enjoying writing these characters so much that I think each year is going to get a chapter, followed by some more involved chapters for sixth and seventh. We'll see how long I can keep the rhythm up.

Oh, and it will eventually be Rose/Scorpius.

The next week, his and Rose's family went Christmas shopping. Half the day was spent in Diagon Alley, the other in Muggle London. Albus took Rose to a discount store where they spent some pocket money each to buy a last-generation iPod. Once they got it back to Albus' house, they took it out of the packaging and synched it up to the family computer. Then, as an afterthought, they went online and found some new music that they thought Scorpius might like, and downloaded until they had gone quite over-budget. They owled it to Hogwarts with a note attached saying, "Happy Christmas - don't eat it all at once!" Albus thought this was hilarious.

One whole semester of design down. Yeah bitches.

RP-wise, I am so suprised but nonetheless happy that AoD is still alive. I seriously thought we'd had it a while back, but I guess some people are stubborn enough to keep it going. I love the internet. The only other game I've joined recently seems to have died. I feel like I need something fresh and new to get me through the summer, but I'm also aware that I'm going to be working almost full time and that I need to devote attention to the game that is currently kicking ass with its cross-dimensional plotline.

The only sad thing is that I think a few of the people who left would now want to come back if they knew where we were at, but that's what they get for giving up, I guess ;)

Wanted to maybe ask Tori about starting Rose/Scorpius PSL, but she's disappeared again. *sigh* I wonder if it'll be eight months or more this time before she comes back.

I want Tongues of Serpents SOOOOO BADLY.

Why does America get everything first? If they can release Harry Potter at the same time here to the minute, surely they can release ToS a day or two, not 15 days, after the American release.

*sulk*

Sometimes I just can't believe that I am the mod of such an incredible game. 399 posts this week, which is week 22. Sometimes you get lucky, I guess. Lucky to have such a great core of people who keep the thing going. Even people who leave - or try to leave - 2 out of 3 come back again, which is unique to any game I've ever been in.

I love my peeps. LOFF TRAIN.

I hate this time of year *pokes everyone*

Looks like I only have one game left!

Sometimes I worry that I have so little personal drama. Like seriously, there is just zip going on. Apparently I need to get a life and/or boyfriend, and believe me if I knew how to get either, then I would.

Also I feel a growing need for a Rose/Scorpius PSL or similar, though the main thing that attracts me to the pairing is the emnity between their fathers. After they sorted that out it might get tired. So no sorting out then.

Updated my current characters list for the first time in... a while. Added some AOD people to facebook.

Work is dead which is nice but still have to be there every day *sigh*.

Oish. I think I need to drop either AM or ToS. Every time I check them I've missed like loads of stuff. I should check them every day but every time I log into AoD I've got so much stuff to do I run out of time. So I go look at AM and there's been plot everywhere that I haven't participated in and new characters I haven't spoken to yet and I don't even know what's happening at ToS anymore. I really like my characters at both games.. especially dark!Neville, he is awesome, but it's getting a bit unrealistic that he still hasn't found out about his mum and dad yet. Which he should have but none of the canon characters has shown any interest in finding out about him or telling him the truth. And Harry at AM is just awkward. He's got like six kids but he doesn't know what to say to any of them. *sigh* I dunno.

At least AoD is awesomesauce. It just hit 40 characters and the grand majority of them are really active, which is nice.

Also I went ice skating today and it was the bomb.
